Rooms Painted & a Surprise During Filming! | The Concourse Ep 8 of 12

The paint is going up and this house finally feels like a home.

In Episode 8, we're on Day 25 of this 45-day SoCal rehab and the transformation is dramatic. Light gray walls with white ceilings are giving the property a completely new identity. The kitchen has been painted in white semi-gloss, bedroom doors are being installed, and the last delayed window for the upstairs bedroom has finally arrived — meaning that room can now catch up to the rest of the house.

All the bedroom doors are now installed except one, and the noise reduction is immediate. We also changed the staircase door's opening direction to gain 4-5 inches of additional closet access — small changes like this make a real difference in a rental property.

The furnace is being brought into the attic today. The grounding cable is now properly installed in armor conduit running from the front hose bib to the panel. And we got two brand new automatic garage door openers installed — the old doors used to slam hard enough to shake the whole building.
